Invited to join Hermès’ esteemed Vitrine d’Artiste program, Melbourne based lighting designer Christopher Boots delivered a mesmerising series of lighting displays to warm the heart and mind for the 2014 Christmas season. Based upon the annual theme of Metamorphosis, Christopher Boots’ installations engage with concepts of creation and mythology, entwining multiple tales of evolution into a fully formed exhibition of colour, tone, texture and form. Representing a 12 month long collaboration between Hermès and Christopher Boots, the seven windows flanking Madison Avenue are alive with concept that balances natural form and material innovation to showcase the offerings of both Boots and Hermès. Rich with opulent quirk, Christopher Boots’ unique perspective is a welcome addition to Madison Avenue.
